Apollo

"Looking back at his mother in the cave, Apollo couldn't help but feel tears well up in his eyes. Surely going to school wouldn't be the hardest thing he's ever done, but he'd also never been so far from home. With one final burst of wind running through his hair and under his wings, beckoning him to move along, Apollo took one last deep breath and swooped up and over the only forest he'd ever known."

Apollo is a young dragon who lives alone with his mother in a cave high in the mountains. As a blue dragon who was born in high altitude, his flame is very weak, only enough to keep a small bonfire lit inside the cave.
He is soft spoken around new people and caring of everyone and everything. As he warms up with people he winds up being an open book, especially if it gets a laugh out of someone. He always has his sick mother on his mind, most of his day is spent looking after her by hunting, making remedies from herbs and giving her company. However when he hears that the Dragonic Academy hosts a Tournament with great prizes and wealth on the table, Apollo makes the hard decision to leave his mother behind (in the care of a small mammal) so that he can earn something that will help them both live a more comfortable life.

Apollo is thrown into a leadership role within his friends against his will, which can sometimes upset Pearl and Sol. But despite that, he wouldn't want to disappoint anyone and intends to prove himself as a witty, kind and reliable leader even if its a huge responsibility. While at the academy, Apollo is given armour that enhances his fire breathing and allows him to control the flames in wild and wondrous ways.

His entire body is SCALEY. The only parts that are Hair/Fur are his Crest (top of head), Elbows and Back of Knees.
