.PERSONALITY.

Ashminnow is not the friendliest of cats but she'll do her best to help someone. they are short tempered and snippy and her patience runs thin real fast. not good with kits as they annoy her to no ends. she atleast makes an attempt to be welcoming to other cats but her resting bitch face says otherwise giving other cats the impression that she's not to be approached. Ashminnow has a soft spot for her friends. you can find her laughing like a young cat when around her friends or littermates. she's actually really quiet and wants to be the best she can be but believes that she'll never live up to other cats standards

.BACKSTORY.

ashkit was born to riverclan deputy, waterfall, and shadowclan warrior, timbertalon. ashkit has two littemates, sneezekit and creek-kit. about half a moon after they were born, waterfall got really weak and eventually passed away. timbertalon after hearing the news left shadowclan to riverclan so he can be with his kits. ashkit was a quiet kit who didn't show interest in much but she spent most of her kit days bothering firesky in the medicine cat den despit him telling her to go away and let him do his job. kestrelkit and finchkit were two kits in the nursery that managed to get past ashkit's barrier and become friends with her and her littermates. 

ashpaw got what she wanted and was apprenticed to firesky and trained as a medicine cat. starclan was a concept she couldn't grasp no matter how hard she tried. when she went to the moonpool for the first time she couldn't get through, she wanted to see her mother. she broke down sobbing in the middle of the medicine cat gathering because starclan would not answer her. firesky took her back to camp early while the other medicine cats continued their meeting. ashpaw was beginning to question whether or not being a medicine cat was right for her despite her skill with healing. ashpaw became envious of her sister, creekpaw, who was becoming a rising star in riverclan. ashpaw could not hate her sister though. she knew she couldn't blame creekpaw for her disconnection to starclan. instead of being jealous and hateful towards creekpaw she confided in her about her problems. creekpaw and sneezepaw helped their sister with her problems and they shared theirs with her. timbertalon had taken another mate by now. ashpaw wishes she could say she was upset he moved on from waterfall so quickly but she knows he grieved alot for his late mate. sorrelcry was an amazing stand in mother for the three and they all loved her. ashpaw was still struggling with her faith in starclan as they've still not spoken to her. firesky would describe the hunting grounds of starclan to her at night when neither of them could sleep. he'd tell her about how beautiful it was and how wise the cats are. she'd ask him whenever the lost a patient if they were there and how they were. she bagan to be paranoid that the cats she'd lost would come back to haunt her for failing to save them. firesky did his best to assure her that they would never hate her and that she did all she could but it always lingered in her mind. 

ashminnow got her full medicine cat name and still had no words from starclan. she had begun to accept that their ancestors have not want for her so she began to do things the way she wanted. the medicine cat code became a suggestion to her. firesky tried his best to bring her back to starclan's faith but understood where she was coming from. he was confused as to why starclan wouldn't speak to his apprentice and he doubted his choice of making her his apprentice many times. ashminnow was still close with her littermates, creekwhisper and sneezeslate. the three became riverclan's golden trio. sneezeslate for his incredible battle strategy, creekwhisper for her battle skill, and ashminnow for her outstanding healing ability. the clan doesn't know that ashminnow was shut off from starclan and never will if she can help it. she can't afford for their faith in her to waver.  ashminnow and firesky went to the moonpool, he made her come with him to be exact. he wanted to try to get starclan to answer her. ashminnow told him that starclan is nonsense and that it's just a story used to scare kits into behaving. firesky wanted to badly to share his visions with her but she always plays them off as weird dreams. ashminnow and firesky made it to the moonpool where a starry figure was waiting for them. ashminnow frantically nudged firesky asking him if they were real. he nodded saying thats a starclan warrior and that it was her mother. waterfall greeted her daughter and warned her that her nonexistent faith in starclan will cost her. she demands a reason as to why they never spoke to her and waterfall explains that its because she and her littermates were product of a halfclan relationship. waterfall put timbertalon ahead of her clan and deputy status and timbertalon put waterfall ahead of his clan and apprentice. ashminnow argued that she and her littermates had no part in their choice and that she couldn't choose her parents or clan. waterfall agreed it was their fault but the will of starclan cannot be ignored and she must atone for her parents mistakes. ashminnow declared starclan her enemy and that a bunch of dead cats have no power over her head. when they got back to camp they were notified that thunderclan was attacking the border. ashminnow and firesky rushed to take care of the injured when a warrior struck down firesky in mistake for a warrior. waterfall's ghost along with another starclan warrior were behind firesky's limp body. they said that they were not powerless and that firesky's death was a warning. 

moons after ashminnow took on an apprentice, bristlepaw. bristlepaw was a loud, obnoxious, pawful. he liked to be wherever ashminnow was. bristlepaw was finchwatchers son so ashminnow felt obligated to humor him a bit with his antics. bristlepaw was kept in the dark about his mentors lack of faith in starclan. she didn't want to see weak or abandoned by her new apprentice. ashminnow still found time despite being a mentor now to hang out with her friends. creekswhisper following her mother's pawsteps and becoming the deputy, sneezeslate becoming her righthandman, finchwatcher and kestrelspots started a family.
