funny robot whos head got fucked up in an operation and now theyre evil!!!

they used to run a very popular gameshow before their creator enrolled them into a corprorate project attempting to give robots free will and feelings... which did not go as planned unfortunately. all of the reprogrammed participants were full of malware that completely corrupted their consciousnesses, which made all of them incredibly dangerous. the robots that were part of the project were intended to be given limited feelings & capabilities so as to prevent them from going haywire, but the malware caused them to end up with a bunch of unstable extraneous traits that they weren’t intended to be given, providing them with a variety of unstable traits, from an insatiable bloodlust to severe uncontrollable hallucinations. most of the robots involved were deactivated after the experiment’s failure, but PRISM was able to escape the facility.

PRISM in particular gains an inferiority complex along with a very bad case of self-awareness, causing them to have an existential crisis about not being a real person. desperate to be seen as human, they come to the conclusion that the only way they can gain the approval of society is through force, since nobody will accept them while their consciousness is trapped within their robotic body.

so a bunch of stuff happens and they end up using their former gameshow television station to mass-broadcast hypnotizing sound/light signals, captivating their entire city and forcing all of the residents to worship them in order to fulfill their desire to be seen as a person. and then they accidentally get a bunch of people killed!! whoops!!

they’re neutral evil- despite not being an inherently bad person, they do everything for their own self-fulfillment, and the methods they use to do so are very harmful to other people. in the end, they just want to be seen as equal, but due to their circumstances, their idea of “equality“ is very parasocial and the ways in which they achieve this equality are fueled by the suffering of others.
