Alyce Bellamy Wondla was born to a female dog named Alicia and a male demon cat named Azzezos. Though it was common practice for mothers of half-demon children to abandon their half-demon children on the former prison island known as Grimvale Isle, Alyce's mother chose instead to keep Alyce and raise her. It was Alicia's belief that raising her child would prevent her from becoming evil - it would unfortnately turn out to be a mistake on her part.

As Alyce grew up and entered elementary school, her differences from the other children made her stand out and be picked on. Despite her best efforts to remove herself from conflict, there always seemed to be those who would seek her out to try and bully her. It was not too surprising to learn that Alyce eventually tapped into her demon powers for the first time when being bullied by a particularly nasty girl at school. Though Alyce ended up hurting the other girl quite badly (not to mention scaring her), she did not become afraid of her powers. Instead, she embraced them.

Alyce's power made her more influential and feared at school, no one dared pick on her for they were terrified that she would harm them in unspeakable ways. Her mother, in an attempt to put an end to the amount of calls she got from school faculty, sought out a mystic who might be able to help. The mystic gave Alyce a pack of magic cards which had various words written on them and ranged from good things such as "mercy" and "talk to them" to "lava" and "knives." The mystic did not explain to Alyce what the deck of cards was intended to do, but Alyce would come to use the deck to determine what she would do to those that crossed her.

Not surprisingly, Alyce would gain quite a negative reputation among the citizens of her town and upon graduating high school, she would be chased out of town by an angry mob. Forced to flee, Alyce took only the barest of necessities and fled to another universe by way of a portal she opened up. Though she would find many places to call home, she would still end up having a nomadic existence as she would invariably wind up using her powers and harming someone to the point that a town or country would chase her away.

One such instance in which she was being chased out of a town led to her getting her left arm severely damaged as well as trapped within a trap and she was forced to cut it off herself by opening up a portal and allowing it snap shut around the arm. In the new universe she found herself, she had to find someone willing and able to make her a prosthetic arm - something which was particularly difficult.

Once equipped with a new arm, she tends to make light of the loss of her arm and makes a fair amount of jokes and also frquently tells different stories as to how she lost the arm in the first place.
