Faren

A war criminal turned traitor turned king; born into a war-torn society, Faren's life was doomed the moment it began. He was raised from birth to be a soldier, and fulfilled that role with savagery and utter obedience to his emperor. Being turned into a vampire only enabled further brutality from him in combat, and led to him briefly being inducted into the ranks of the Empire's elite soldiers... but his growing bloodlust could only be overlooked for so long as he began to prey on his fellow soldiers, and he was eventually assigned, as a second chance, to a squad of other individuals facing execution. They carried out the Emperor's orders, but ultimately strayed from him, choosing to create their own path. While Faren never wanted to be a leader, he was granted the status of vampire king after defeating the former king in combat. However, he and his squad members met defeat at the hands of the dragon Malvarrion.
