Bugs is apart of the Cavern nation, being one of the initial members before the migration happened. As a reward for worshipping Fenrir, the god of chaos and darkness, the god that all members of the Cavern nation follows, xe gained strength. While he was presented the choice between night vision or strength he chose strength, finding it useful as a bat.

Bugs and his god have a very tense relationship, while Bugs is unaware of everything that happens all xe does know is that his god does something, unaware of the full extent. Fenrir, the god, has been possessing Bugs to play around in the mortal realm, not entirely having a physical body as well as finding it more fun to just possess a follower and make them do his dirty work. Often times these possessions lead to Bugs waking up disoriented and confused as to where xe is.

Most of Bugs's past is unknown, all thats really known is that Bugs has lived in the cavern for years and that his specific home has been there for likely centuries. While most others of the nation call it The Cavern Bugs has on occasion called it The Roost out of habit, likely it being familiar to how the feral bats live and sleep.
