Having been raised on stories and tales since he was a young child like any other tabaxi, he always felt like he was starving for more. He didn't want another story from the humans, elves, orcs or anything else for the matter. He wanted to be the story. He wanted to go out, life a life of adventure of his own without anything to tie him down.

So, by the age of 18, he impulsively abandoned his clan, and went out to become the bard rockstar of his dreams. Even going so far as to abandon his tabaxi name for a long while, and instead preferring his stage name 'Stardust'. He started with a real passion for both the music and the magic, but as his audience grew bigger, so did his ego.

But that bubble of his had to be popped eventually, and now he's living the life of any other washed up celebrity, trying to find some new meaning in his life as he still picks up the occasional gig from time to time.

In fact, while trying to get a gig at a cathedral in a nearby kingdom, he ended up bargaining for more than he'd signed up for... As he ends up grouped with some other random adventurers (one of them in fact being an old friend from his clan), to be able to clear up his name after they're all the prime suspects of an awful incident.
