 Abilities 

 Hot and cold: Being essentially a half solid chunk of goo, spade can switch his physical characteristics whenever he sees fit, The most common ways he will edit his appearance is growing tentacles and suckers to aid in climbing or gripping things like walls. He can grow these anywhere on his body and most often uses them to chase prey and intruders in the laboratory, crawling on the ceiling is faster than dodging obstacles on the ground. He can also make the eyes covering him dissipate, but prefers to have them since he can see multiple angles at once with them and do his job better. He has also switched to female on occasion when trying to disguise himself for one reason or another. Or when trolling volunteers lmao.  

 Slipping through the cracks: Due to his unstable makeup he can melt into sentient slime if he goes without his chem shake long enough. This can aid him in squeezing under doorways and through cracks into normally inaccessible areas. His creator, Dr. Byron, often uses this to store spade in Tupperware for high profile travel. He kind of looks like an octopus like this, a puddle one lmao.

 ⚠︎ dried out ⚠︎: he can't go near things used to dry stuff out, like salt or corn starch. Salt is very painful for this goo boi to come into contact with. While he can eat it without consequence, touching it by itself is a big no no. He's afraid of anything that looks like salt as well.

He won't follow past the entrance of the exit corridor, spade knows he's not supposed to leave, and he follows that rule to a T to avoid the dangers outside and Dr. Byron's potential wrath if he does go outside, and gets caught.

originally goo splattered on a stray asteroid and technically dead, spade eventually landed on earth during a meteorite shower, and was later discovered by the American government. The case of discovering the origin of the slick substance was put in front of a rather famous microbiologist named Dr. Nicholas Timothy Byron. Nicholas managed to find a couple living cells among it and scraped them into a petri dish, stealing it to take home. He managed to regrow the creature it came from with the help of some slight splicing of his own fox DNA. The result was spade, whom has no memory of who or what he was before he was revived in the lab. The creature has spent the entirety of his second life in Byron's underground research lab. His main job is to guard the place from intruders or journalists trying to break in to steal news worthy research, but he also will occasionally get the opportunity to done a lab coat and work along side Byron, aiding in research and testing things to help with medical breakthroughs.
