Plutus

Plutus is a complete mystery of nature, being a mass of mushroom that somehow obtained enough life essence to be animate and even sentient. They are not sure themselves how this happened so they don't question it too much, they are simply happy to be.

They live in a deep and extremely hostile to life forest. They make some money working as a guide to people foolish or desperate enough to want to traverse such a dangerous forest. Not that they really need the cash, they just like shiny things. Which mean you could very well pay them in any trinkets that look interesting enough.
