The last of her tribe, Ahnasai is hard to trust others. She doesnt like the wol bc where was this so called "hero" if they werent there for her? She lost everything and is bent on slicing some garleans silly for what they did.. shes also mad at the people within the steppe for ignoring her tribe too, and shes probably personally shunned out of the steppe (bc who wants to deal with this tribeless xaela? the garleans might come after her again and by extension, us) and into kugane/eventually eorzea.. where does she get the money? shes a dnc :)

Shes in eorzea bc she heard the empire is doing shit there in arr and eventually she finds the scions/wol and practically Forces them to helping her cull Specific Garlean Faces for messing up her life. So she ends up "helping" the wol/scions since it just so happens to involve the empire along the way

She calms down from being solely driven by revenge after a time/learns to trust again but it is a HUGE motivation at the start. She still wanna roll some heads doe
