Personality ❄️

Frost is quiet but not shy, calculating but not cruel. She is loyal to Eggman Nega, carrying out all his orders without question, as its all she knows. She carries a resentment towards Blaze as Eggman Nega told her that she was Blaze's sister who was rejected and abandoned for her powers. This is not something she ever tells Blaze in their fights as she believes Blaze already knows and it'd be pointless to explain why she resents her.

Frost lacks initiative, not knowing what to do while not on a mission, so often just trains with her powers or sleeps.

Abilities ❄️

Frost's abilities are the dark counterpart to Blaze's Sol abilities: cold fire. It's bright blue and acts like flame, but it freezes instead of burns, hence Frost's name.

Weaknesses ❄️

Frost, controlling cold fire, is naturally weak to the heat and regular fire. She can also be easily confused by things considered common knowledge as she hasn't had much experience with society.

History ❄️

Frost is a genetically altered clone of Blaze made by Eggman Nega based on his knowledge of Professor Gerald's research on Shadow. To keep Frost loyal to him, he decided to give her something to focus on and resent instead of him, much like Metal Sonic resented Sonic. He told Frost that she was Blaze's sister, which is technically true based on genetics but not the whole story. He also told her that she was rejected and abandoned by her parents because of her powers. While a full-on lie, it has some basis in truth as cold fire is looked down upon, being the negative of regular fire. This makes cementing the lie easy as others do avoid her when they notice her powers.

As a clone of Blaze created by a native of the Chaos Dimension, Frost does not have a Chaos Dimension analog. Since Sonic is Blaze’s analog, the closest for Frost is Metal Sonic.

Behind the Scenes

I wanted to do my own take on an ice-variant of Blaze. I never thought it made sense for members of the Sol Dimension to just have any elemental power. Blaze has fire, Marine has light; both associated with the Sun. Ice is not associated with the Sun. Some people have the ice-variant of Blaze be an actual variant from an ice-based dimension (Luna, usually), but the Chaos Dimension is supposed to be the other side of the coin to Blaze's world (hence the connection between Chaos and Sol Emeralds). 

So I went another way: cold fire. My first encounter with this concept was the Judicator, a weapon from Metroid Prime Hunters. It fires super-cooled plasma, something normally hot, and it freezes things. In my research, I also came across cold fire which is a similar concept. Flame that freezes instead of burns, its created by a special process and is used to sanitize equipment (such as dental) that cannot be exposed to heat or harsh chemicals. Look up some YouTube videos if you want to know more. This concept is sort of also present in Star Fox Adventures, where you'll encounter red/orange and blue flames. In some areas, flames shoot out at you and you catch on fire. In areas with the blue fire, it only damages you instead of setting you on fire. Since the blue fire is also associated with the moon in-game, I assume it's cold fire.

As a clone of Blaze, she would naturally look similar but I want to at least get a little creative. Now, most ice-types tend to be blue, but Blaze isn't red or orange. I picked green as the other color options didn't quite work with an ice-type. Her outfit, I based on Blaze's concept outfit, adding my own ideas. Cloaks are always mysterious and she could hide herself somewhat with it. She has rings everywhere because that's apparently one of my defaults with Sonic designs (no glove ideas? throw on some rings), and it reminds of Shadow's inhibitor rings. She has sandals as I consider those opposite fancy high-heels.
