a detective working for the (fictional town) police department, recently having transferred from a larger city's department for ~*mysterious*~ reasons. doesn't know how to relax or take it easy or even rly smile tbh. his job is his life, in more ways than one.

ends up often being reckless both on the job and in everyday life- chasing suspects who really should be left to more trained personnel, confronting criminals head on, taking ridiculous shortcuts- almost always covered in cuts and bruises and bandages. they cover up all the wounds he gets that nobody can account for. where do they come from? well...

 in his dreams, a mysterious figure maims and dismembers him alive, and while the dreams fade from his mind after he wakes up, the marks often don't
