A wandering mercenary who travels where the wind takes her, and leaves a trail of bodies in her wake. Obsessed with love to the point where she can excuse any wrongdoing in the name of it, at least so long as she deems the love in question is "true." Priya grew up being taught that life would always be ok so long as you had love in your life. No matter what misfortune befell you, love always prevails in the end, just like in fairy tales. When personal tragedy struck and she lost her family Priya held out in the belief that love would make everything ok again. And love came, her salvation taking the form of the mechanized chassis that let her crush all that opposed her. Priya fully believes her blackbeard to be sentient and capable of thought (and perhaps it is. whether through some faulty programming or some unseen force, the thing moves around on its own at times, as if either alive or possessed). Priya calls her mech her "darling" and has decided it must be just as in love with her as she is with it.

Priya is utterly obsessed with the idea of love and being in love, and if she's not focusing on her darling she's focused on making sure everybody who crosses her path realizes that love can save them from their darkest hours as well. Off the battlefield this takes the form of prattling endlessly about the nature of love, incessant and borderline scary, she doesn't realize most people just nod along and agree with her out of fear rather than actually believing what she says. On the battlefield though? Priya chooses to prove the power of love by showing how it fuels the power of incredible violence.

Outside of her mercenary activities Priya runs a relatively popular blog critiquing romance related media, usually novels, shoujo manga, and pop music.

Thoughts on my other lancer pilots

Astrid: Adores Astrid and sees her love for union as one that can rival her love for her darling. She likes Astrid but also wants to fight her one day to see whose love shines brighter, and she could easily provoke astrid into a fight by engaging in her usual bouts of violence and bloodshed. Would almost feel bad about hurting Astrid though. Almost.

Jack: She thinks Jack's afraid of love and that's why he's isolated himself from everyone, wants to convince him that loving and being loved is the best way to feel safe. She would try to prove this by fighting as ruthlessly as she can in front of him while raving on about love, but all this does is terrify him even more. 

Elias: Priya sees right through his pleasant persona and hates his guts because he makes light of things like love. Under the impression that he's some kind of heartbreaker and that she and her darling need to teach him about love, and how love hurts sometimes.

Siegfried: Mostly pities him, she recognizes his need for validation and feels reminded of what she was like before she met her darling. Hopes it can dedicate its devastating fighting skills to someone or something it loves one day, and that she can be there to see it when that happens.
