Jack's a criminal from a planet known as Tharsis, a place thats dazzling at first view but has a seedy underbelly riddled with crime and torn between 3 major factions, The Rosewoods, Tharsis Shipping Company, and Aviary, in something of a powerstruggle. Part of the Aviary, a cabal of thieves and other outlaws, Jack will cheat, steal, and kill whomever he pleases, but just because he's part of a group doesn't mean he holds any loyalty towards them. As far as he's concerned anyone and everyone is his enemy. However his animosity towards the Rosewoods and TSC is more readily apparent. This is due to the fact that his parents were a couple of restaurant owners who never quite managed to curry any favor with either the Rosewoods or TSC despite groveling at the feet of both groups. This resulted in their establishment being destroyed in conflicts countless times without any attempts at compensation being made, and the family barely managing to scrape by for years. Eventually Jack got fed up with the situation and abandoned his family at some point in his late teens.

Before the campaign begins, Jack conducts one of his routine operations of stealing files from the Rosewoods and TSC, only to find particularly scandalous blackmail on one of the Rosewoods higher ranking members. However, he's shot dead before he can sell the information to anyone hardly a day after the incident.The campaign begins with him, and the rest of the party members, being revived and forced to work as a combat idols. All of Jack's time not spent fighting is dedicated to a quest for vengeance. Also worth noting that while Jack is a human, there was.....A slip up regarding the operation to bring him back to life and it resulted in him having a new set of rabbit ears in place of his old ones and a tail. Thoughts on my other lancer pilots

astrid: Thinks she's kind, cute, and should absolutely get chewed up and spit out like all the other goody two shoes on tharsis. Would kill her himself if she got in his way. Thinks union and its platitudes should fuck off to the far ends of space. He's learned how to get by on Tharsis and doesn't want union to make the status quo shift.

siegfried: thinks the guy is an idiot even if hes a decent fighter. "if he wants glory so bad he should give being a combat idol a try. he can ascend to valhalla while the crowd cheers at his corpse"

elias: "congrats to this guy for being an even bigger piece of shit than I am. thats saying something." For how good he is at lying and manipulating people he's an idiot for leaving behind his cushy life back home for entertainment. Tharsis is a good place for elias' brand of fun though, theres 50 ways to get killed walking down an alley at night. Hopes he gets to kill elias himself.

priya: priya fucking scares him. frankly jacks not sure whether hes more scared of her or her darling though. he never really gave a shit about love but if it makes her fight like that then maybe its not as useless as he thought.
