Cain

Cain Monroe, a lawful evil cleric from the wild west. he/him

Cain is from a big, metropolitan city, and moved out west in his early 20s. He was raised extremely religious by an abusive (human) father after his (elven) mother died in childbirth, and as soon as he was able to move out of his childhood home he did, after shooting his father in the forehead with his own gun and leaving him for a new future. His identity as a Catholic is deeply ingrained in his sense of self and he shudders to think about who he would be without it. He became a priest after settling down in a remote town way out west, and uses his job to validate his own feelings of inferiority by converting people and threatening/manipulating them into giving the church (him, he embezzles) money. A while back he paid money he didn't have for the assassination of the sheriff in town, and he hasn't been able to pay it back yet. If he doesn't for long enough, the man he hired will come for him next. He doesn't want to die; he knows he'll go to Hell.
