A crow hivemind commits arson

Zalphi died on the battlefield just a few days before the kings of the land decided to shift the biggest cities on a different plane of existance, due to continuos and tenuous attacks from monsters.
After the shift, many things in the world changed with it, creating some unusual behaviours, Zalphi was one of them, as his soul transferred to a pearl on his armour.
Some crows that were eating corpses nearby felt drawn by that strange fenomenon, soon creating a strong bond.

Strangely enough though, he can hear noises and voices around him, just as if he was trapped inside that pearl.
