Lotus

Lotus is a major character in Runaway Princess, a story roughly inspired by the Fire Emblem series. Lotus works in a small library in the town of Heurik, situated near the Agamiron-Capreya border. A bookworm since a very young age, Lotus has read nearly every book in the library and as such has a vast expanse of knowledge, though not all of it is quite up to date. She especially loves reading about history, and aspires to become a proper historian one day. Besides reading, Lotus enjoys knitting; the sweater she wears is one she knitted herself. She loves to knit gifts for her friends. In general Lotus is a very kind and patient person who loves to make small talk with everyone she meets, if only so she can learn a little more from them. Just about everyone in Heurik loves her.

Among the many books she read in the library were magic tomes, so Lotus knows some very basic magic, but her skills aren't nearly as good as her friends Meryl and Starlight.

History
Born and raised in Heurik, Lotus doesn't have much experience outside of her own little town. Instead she escaped into the worlds of books, and used them to learn as much about the rest of the world as she possibly could. Her love of books eventually led to her being hired as a part-time worker at the library by its owner and sole other employee. When her friends decided to form the Heurik Mercenaries, she opted not to join but instead assist them from the sidelines with research.
