- Her mother is from Liyue, her father is from Mondstadt. His family has helped maintain/manage the Windmills for generations. Her mother is a scholar who came to Mondstadt to study the windmills, ended up falling in love and staying.
-Yue was raised around the windmills and from a very young age found them fascinating. Eventually she realized it wasn't the windmills themselves she loved, it was the gears and machinery that kept them going.
-Eventually she discovered the smaller gears that made up clocks, and completely fell in love. Wanting to learn more about it, she eventually became apprenticed to a clock maker.
-Her 'day job' is repairing clocks, and she's known around Mondstadt for being able to take on difficult repairs. However, her real love is the clockwork creations she works on in her own workshop. These are delicate, intricate creations that range from music boxes, to elaborate clocks, to clockwork toys. These artisanal pieces sell for a lot of Mora, but Yue is always insists she only makes them because she has fun with it, or thinks it was pretty. To avoid a lot of attention, she only signs her work with an emblem and sells her creation through a broker she trusts.
-Yue is very self-contained, and people have commented that it's hard to tell what she's thinking at times. She does appear relaxed usually, but it's also been noted that she isn't very social.
-There are a few people she's close with, but she tends to linger on the outskirts of most group gatherings. She often doesn't seem to know what to say to people, and is easily overwhelmed by more energetic people. She notices a lot but has made people think she doesn't care because she didn't immediately respond how most people expected.

-Stims by drumming her fingers or tapping things. Preferably something hard, but she'll drum her fingers on her arm sometimes.
-Easily over stimulated by loud noises and large crowds. It's why while she'll show up during festivals Windblum or Ludi Harpastum , but only for a limited time or at the edges of it. She won't be in the center. To her that is enjoying the festivals.
-People crowding her or sensor overload will cause her to meltdown. She'll start becoming very snappish and emotional, hug herself, and will try get away to somewhere quiet where she decompress. Really dislikes when people try to draw her into more social situations or get over insistent on 'helping' her when she wants space and alone time. Nearly took Amber's head off once when the Outrider pushed her too far.
-Actually gives Kaeya information she's picked up because she remembers a lot, and listens as the clockmaker that taught her as she with he talks with customers.
-Tends to throw off small sparks when she's very annoyed about something, and claims she can't control it. It's annoyed her when it's accidentally damaged one of her own projects.
-Built a small toy ruin guard as a custom order once. She made it walk and light up. She wanted to make it send off fireworks as well, but couldn't figure out how to do it without making it explode before her deadline came up. Her broker said the order came through the Fauti, though she isn't sure why they would want something like that.
-Although she's comfortable in Mondstadt, Yue is also curious about some of the things she's heard about in other lands and wants to visit to study the machines they have.
