Delly

Delly arrived to the PPCC shortly after the death of Dev'rn. His case was the worst that Nessus and Spyce have ever dealt with, and Nessus -- who was the one to find him -- took immediate notice of his advanced stage of infection and administered treatment before even conducting a full exam. The state of his physical decomposition paired with the way he ambled aimlessly in a daze, hardly reacting to the presence of prey, suggested that he had been turned a very long time ago. The longer you remain a zombie, the more difficult it is to reverse the process and the more severe the long-lasting effects; those this far along risk brain damage, deoxygenization, septic shock, and limbs which never heal and must be removed. None of this deterred Nessus, and after a very long night, Delly was subdued, stabilized, and on the road to recovery. Shockingly, although he took to the treatment quickly, certain parts of his body remained disturbingly zombie-like, notably his left leg and upper torso. His leg even had a bone remain exposed, and the muscle tissue surrounding the area simply twisted to accomodate this empty space rather than seal the fissue as it is supposed to. Nessus worried that he wasn't going to make it, but early that morning, he awoke and politely asked for a glass of water. Pol ran to fetch one while the Cosmonaut checked on the condition of his wounds -- unbelievably, despite what his exterior body might suggest, he appeared to be perfectly healthy and stable. After performing a few final checks, his wounds were re-wrapped to prevent infection and he was allowed out into the village to meet the other patients. As soon as he was out the door, Nessus collapsed in on herself while Pol stood by in silent solidarity. He understood -- Delly has Dev'rn's eyes.
