- Rotting creek is a very cold, uncaring and selfish cat who feels as if he has little left in life...causing him to be a nasty piece of work to anyone who crosses his path. He is very cynical and cruel, especially towards young kits and cats from the clan. Despite his hatred and anger, Rottingcreek is always strangely calm and never panics in dire situations.
- He often thinks of himself better than others and never see’s fault in his actions, always justifying his anger and hatred through self-pity. He can also be very possessive over things...including cats he hates. Rottingcreek has a great hatred for the leader and isn’t afraid to voice that or act on his anger. He also dislikes Starclan thinking that they’ve cursed him.

- He has really bad tinnitus + a constant ringing in his ears that irritates him. Due to his tail dragging on the ground, it never had the proper opportunity to heal and has become infected over time.

As Creekpaw became an apprentice he met Mothpaw and developed a huge crush on her. Mothpaw was a few moons older and had to take her test apart from him. To Creekpaw’s dismay, she had never come back and was considered lost. Creekpaw never moved on and hoped for her return...But soon enough it was his turn.
He didn’t stick around his siblings and instead went on a long search for any sign of Mothpaw. Creekpaw eventually sutmbled across the lost community and through talking to other cats, found out that Mothpaw (now Mothburr) was alive! When re-finding each other they very quickly became mates.
As life was moving along normally, Mothburr came to him with the news that she was pregnant! Creekpaw didn’t really want kits as the couple were still young, nor was he wanting to share Mothburrs love with anyone else. When the kits arrived he was distant and uncaring towards them- soon becoming jealous of Mothburrs happiness and affection for them over him.
Oneday Creekpaw had convinced Mothburr to spend some time away from the kits. Upon coming back, the parents had discovered the kits had escaped the den and were exploring alone in the caves. Mothburr panicked and went desperately searching for the kits, eventually finding them stuck in a crack between rocks. Mothburr attempted to dig the two kits out when all of a sudden...it all ended with a bright flash and loud bang.
Mothburr had unknowingly set-off a leftover explosive still in the deep mines, this also caused the roof of the cave to crumble with it. Mothburr was instantly killed, having been in direct contact with the explosion. Creekpaw was close to Mothburr when it happened, causing him to get injured from the explosive and falling rocks that crushed his tail. Rumblekit was unfortunately crushed and killed by rocks, although Ratkit had survived.
Despite his injuries, Creekpaw was conscious and had to cut the end of his tail off with a rock In order to become free. Creekpaw had attempted to dig Mothburr free but upon finding her body under the rubble...he knew there was nothing that could be done. While mourning his mate, Creekpaw discovered Ratkit had dug himself out and was angry to see his only surviving kit. In his mind...this was all his kit's fault. They had stolen her affection, they had gotten stuck, they had taken Mothburr away from him.
Creekpaw later renamed himself Rottingcreek as a grim reminder and self-punishment. His hatred for the leadership and clan has become his new obsession, Some may say he’s changed since his mates death, but perhaps he’s always been this way...just better at hiding it.
Rottingcreek’s vile and unfriendly personality made him many enemies in the lost and most dared to not bother the tom- or be met by his claws. He would often abandoned Ratkit and go days without seeing his son; playing it off as some sick game to the little kit. Eventually he met a cat named Hoperabbit, who he attacked and injured. Although the two made a deal that he could look after Ratkit instead- (as Hope and Rat had grown close), Rottingcreek soon backtracked his deal and banned Ratkit from seeing him.
Rottingcreek started training Ratkit so he could fight and kill cats too, but Ratkit’s balance problems made him a terrible fighter and caused lots of accidents since Rotting trained with claws. After slicing his ear off, Rotting never saw Ratkit again.
One day Rottingcreek heard desperate calls for help and the already angry tom found Tadpolepaw who looked exhausted. The two fought and Rottingcreek threw Tadpolepaw in a pit, vowing to hold her there until Lizzardstar game looked for her and found her. His plan was to kill the leader for revenge…but no one came for Tadpolepaw.
He grew impatient with this and decided to kill Tadpole himself after keeping her captive for several days, although he was very weak and she had gotten away. Rottingcreek chased her until she reached a cat called Onxycave- who decided to protect the young apprentice. Rottingcreek taunted the blind warrior but his words meant nothing as Onyxcave soon attacked and tore Rottingcreek’s throat out- causing him to slowly choke to death in his own blood.
Rottingcreek has no interest in his son outside of treating him badly and being a genuinely shit dad. He blames Ratkit for his mate dying and will never let it go, Seeing no wrong in his mistreatment.
