Summary
They say that curiosity killed the cat... but Satu is a pretty responsible fellow, so he hasn't died yet.
A wanderer by choice, Satu and Vesper's travels intersected while the latter was looking for his sister, and the former was looking for... well, if we're being honest, he was sort of looking around for nothing in particular, just something to sate his curiosity, as he always has. With all the stories the grey cat has to share, both about the gods and about his own life, Vesper piqued Satu's interest, and, deciding that two heads were better than one, he opted to join him on his quest. Luckily for them both, Satu is pretty good at keeping up with new companion, both physically and mentally - Though that doesn't change the fact that Vesper can be a bit eccentric and out there at times.
Oh well! That's all part of the fun, isn't it?
Trivia
- Satu is based on an okapi, as suggested by users in the HW/VoK discord server. The prompt for his adoption was to describe the role he played in a myth or story - In my entry, he was given the role of listener, which Vesper described as the most important part to play alongside storyteller, as those two roles are the reason such tales are able to perpetuate.
- Satu has been traveling and seeking out knowledge ever since he was weaned - His family tried to keep an eye on him, but eventually he just wandered too far for them to keep up, and he's not seen them since. Unlike his companion, who's traveling in search of his own family, Vesper doesn't really mind his circumstances. He loves his family, but they were never as close as Vesper and Amara were when they were kittens, so he's fine with having parted ways with them and isn't planning to seek them out again himself; if they meet again, it'll be a happy coincidence, but that's all.
