i don't really remember when i wanted to become an assassin, it's just that one day, i told my friends i wanted to be a guy who wielded daggers and knew how to kill someone in 500 different ways. they told me things like "but you're too nice!" "no way you could survive an environment like that!" and "maybe you could try something like a ranger?" which, [chuckles] of course i took to heart. i was a pretty emotional and gullible kid. but that little spark in me told me to keep pushing, and to keep going, and that everything was going to be ok. and well? guessing from where i am right now, i guess that spark was right.

you could say my childhood friends were correct in the assumption that it's hard being an assassin, especially one that a lot of people turn to. i get a lot of commissions, bribes, and the like. you have to consistently walk on eggshells, dealing with shady people and having that mindset of "trust no one"... but i sort of like that thing. it's what keeps life interesting and on your toes. i've found myself in a lot of new places and experiencing new things and cultures, and i can thank my job for that.

well, i suppose so, but it took a while for me to make any actual friends for a while. there's such a stigma against assassins, and because of that, it was hard for me to develop any real friendships without their constant gnawing fear of me killing them out of the blue. but recently i've made a couple new friends, and i'll admit, it's a bit weird working together in a team, since i usually do everything alone and i've been taught the mindset of individuality over teamwork. but hey, the more the merrier, right?
