Although his height may serve as intimidating to some of his peers, Orcus is one of the kindest and friendliest squids around, always willing to lend a helping hand. His keen insight and perception skills make him a popular mediator and advice guy, as his friends often turn to him first for help (Chelsea with battle strategies, Philip with confidence training). He's usually the first to notice any brewing conflict between his friends and also the first to address it. Unfortunately, this kindness of his may serve as more of a weakness than a strength. He's constantly busy and stretches himself too thin between socializing, turf wars, school, and his part time job as a delivery guy to help support his many siblings. The poor guy claims he doesn't mind it all for the sake of his friends and family.

Team Marink is a highly offensive team; they jump right into battle and defend their territory with their best defense- offense. While their splat count is high, their apparent recklessness in battle means their splatted numbers are high as well. The team's origins are somewhat secretive; Chelsea claims it was out of her sole selfish ambition of being a top player one day. While this is not entirely untrue, it is also true that the team was formed out of a secret promise between team leader Chelsea and team member Olive. Team Marink was active for about 5 years before it was disbanded due to a difference in future goals.

In battle, Orcus hangs around mid, so that he can quickly provide support in the front or rear. He bears a little more patience than his teammates Chelsea and Olive do, and follows them at a short distance. This usually ends up with him being the backup if the two ever fall in battle. When this happens, his job is to keep the enemy back and stall until the other two can squid jump to one of Philip's Beakons and rejoin him. He uses his range to his advantage to splat a squid from a safe distance and throws out Splash Walls for his use and Chelsea's.
