Gilbert Johann Frye

A history professor by day, the King of London Underground by night. Living for over half a millennia as a creature of the night, he tries his best to maintain his humanity and leads inhumans, either vampires or werewolves of London to a better future. Among his peers, he is well-known for his intellect and fatherly nature, despite being easily blended in with vampires due to his physical traits and his need to consume human blood, to count him as one would be the over-simplification as the origin of his creation is much more complicated than that.

As calm as he looks,he can easily get paranoid and has a desire to lead a stable life.But to important figures in his life, he is loving and kind to them and as a creature who lives for over five hundred years, he's very understanding and open-minded. Why cling to old ideas when those thing changes all the time?

Although his date of birth is unknown, he was born in the renaissance era in a prestigious family of nobles and scholars descended from a noble clan in Austria. For generations, his family tried to acquire magical abilities whether through experiments or through bloodline by marrying witches and magicians, but none of those methods ever worked. His Great grandfather believes that there is a generational curse that prevents them from acquiring magical ability, as a clan that self-righteously believe that their duty is to persuing all the knowledge in this world and become the messiahs of humanity, with that ambition they finally found a ‘deity’ who they thought could remove their curse and agreed to start a new branch in England and started their experiment there so their family’s name won’t be stained. He was born years after his great grandfather hailed from Austria, and throughout his life, he is nothing but a disappointment to his father, he is a failed experimanted, a child with no magic just like any others in his clan.Ever since his birth, he ws being neglected by his father and during his childhood years, his mother was the only person he could relied on.His mother,like any women married into his clan,was a witch so even though he's ot capable of doing magic,she taught him everthing she known,unlike his father who was consumed by his greed of knowledge and desire for power.Rituals after rituals, experiments after experiments,his clan's 'deity' wasn't satisfied yet,so after Gilbert's mother passed when he was nine, with the father's madness,he was almost being sacrificed to their god, luckily, the ritual stopped after his father realized what he was about to do. They never spoken about this ever since.
