Personality:
Runim is cryptic at best, occasionally found whispering grunts in a language unknown before speaking proper. They also are, understandably, a capable fighter, sparing no time in felling those who are a danger to them. Despite their seemingly simple-minded thinking, however, they prove to be surprisingly witty and calculating when they want to be -- whether that's more of a comfort or a concern is up to those who interact with them. However....
Anyone who comes to know Runim has learned that they are, when not in monster form, two distinct characters, rather than the combination of both. Rutile, who often slumbers when Runim's monstrous form is dispelled, is lighthearted, amicable, but naive. Nimbus, meanwhile, is stubborn, sharp-tongued, yet painfully shy, but always around even if Rutile has to rest. Together, as Runim, they generally work together and speak for each other, but rarely, they stumble when disagreements occur.
Background:
A mysterious beast who, despite their clearly monstrous nature, has appeared to assist the efforts in Maestas. Even stranger is the acceptance to allow such a creature to help out with only a slight eye-raise -- so, just where did they come from, and why have they come to the aid of people despite being a monster?
Well, in truth...
Runim had come to Maestas to understand one thing -- the 'purpose' that Rutile, the mysterious being in which Nimbus hosts, is destined to do. This promise was made between Rutile and Nimbus long ago, and since then, has taken the duo all over Kaos. Eventually, their travels would bring them to Maestas, though not without realizing the limits of their strength --but fortunately, being brought in by Jona and given a place to stay.
While Rutile's memories of her purpose, as well as her prior life, are muddled at best, Nimbus' not only remembers much of his upbringing, but loathes it. Being from Xebresh, not only was he expected to train, but when his frail body could not perform to the degree the other soldiers could, they sent Nimbus out into the cold to prove his worth. Almost dying from the harsh tundra winds, Nimbus is saved by Rutile -- but ever since that day, Nimbus closed his heart to all but a very select few.
Other info:
- they have a fondness of flowers, and do whatever they can to avoid accidently harming them.
- They generally speak either in third person or with the royal 'we', and usually refer to others as simply 'human' or 'beast' unless they've formed a fair level of trust with them.
