About

By day, Gwen is a kindergarten teacher. She pretends to be a pirate because of the eye patch, and the kids love that. She is pretty creative with projects and activities and makes the best voices for story time! But after work, things tend to get crazy. 

Gwen sets out to find injured fantasy creatures, she then has them patched up and treated to the best of her ability (and with the help of friends). She does her best to care for them until they are ready to go back out on their own. However many will repay her with favors, such as helping house other creatures she finds when she has no room available. But some take it a step further. Some of these poor creatures have gone a long time on their own, lacking affection and isolated due to what they "are" and so they latch onto Gwen. Some fight for her when necessary, and so on. Some look to her a "mother" and some even refer to her as "mom" or "mother" instead of by name. 

Gwen always has good intentions but it doesn't always come from the right place. Her mind is unwell, and she becomes very obsessive over her work. Sometimes she makes decisions that are not only dangerous to herself, but to the well-being of others. She can be very hard to reason with when she is like this , almost impossible in fact. 

When she is not doing this, she is spending time with her dear friends. Because of her supernatural connections, she has access to a rather secret hang-out. She spends a lot of time here, it almost feels like a second home. 

Sometimes her friends also pull her out of this strange life she has made for herself, away from the creatures and brings her on their own little adventures. She goes with them to conventions and parties, and the sort. 

She especially spends a lot of time with her best friend, Cain, whom she feels almost responsible for. She sees him as her "little buddy" who needs to be protected from, well, mostly himself. She is always dragging him along on adventures and so on. 

Background

Gwen is a trans-woman, and she discovered this rather early. During high school is when she started experimenting with the idea and testing the waters with her family. She wasn't a popular kid, but she did have quite a lot of friends because of her outgoing, extroverted nature. She was loud, and maybe even a bit of a class clown. She has fond memories of these days.

During her early college years her parents helped her to afford to transition. While in college she met one of her dearest and closest friends, Dorian. She was also reunited with an acquaintance from high school, Cain, who became her best friend. 

It was also during her college years that she began working to help these injured fantasy creatures. It started because one night she was out camping with some friends, while everyone was passed out Gwen woke to a gunshot. She followed the noise that only she seemed to have heard, and witnessed a man carrying away what looked to be a gigantic wolf.. creature? She didn't tell her friends what she thought she had witnessed, and instead followed the man to find where to dumped the beast. The first person Gwen ever trusted to tell about what she had witnessed was her friend, Cain, because he already believed in all things supernatural. She had him accompany her to where she'd seen the creature so that she could release it. It was during this trip that she lost her eye, while trying to sneak through a broke chain link fence. Cain was holding it for her, but got scared and let it go. It sliced her eye, and she still pokes fun at Cain about it. (He feels terrible about it.) 

As life goes on, Gwen befriends many vampires, werewolves, ghost, and immortals.

Reincarnation 

In the world my OCs exist, reincarnation is a big thing. Gwen is unaware that she has been reincarnated many times (both as people and animals), but she does have dreams abut her past lives unknowingly. Her soul chases her friend's souls through lifetimes. She does reconnect with certain friends every so often in her lives. She's especially close to Cain because he is one of her oldest friends from the beginning of her creation. She may be unaware of this, but her soul knows it. 

Tidbits

Gwen has a lot of different eye patches. She loves to experiment with them! 

Her hair is very thick and wild. She sometimes thins it to be able to control it. 

Gwen loves chokers anyways, but she also wears them to hide her adam's apple. 

She is quite the empath and it can sometimes be creepy what she can tell about a person without even speaking.
