Profile

Backstory: The morning air was cool with a hint of autumn in the breeze. As the wind swayed along with the trees. A child sat in a park crying. The small crying girl filled the air with sadness. She sat in the middle of the park playground all alone. Her tears streamed down her cheeks, she quickly wiped them away. "I-I can't cry." She thought sadly. "Mother will get better, she has to." She said knowing the truth deep in her heart. A few miles away stood a hospital where her mother lay sleeping peacefully. Slowly a car parked in one of the parking spots. A young boy about the age of 12 was walking towars the park with his sister. There smiles seemed to light up the air around them with a warm happiness. As they entered into the playground crying filled their ears. The boy's sister seacrched the park and found the litle girl crying sadly inside a slide. "What's wrong?" She said quietly in a soft voice. Azalea looked up into bright, warm, brown eyes that seemed to sparkle. Shyly Azalea opened her mouth but thought otherwise. So instead she burried her head in her jacket. And almost whispered, "Mommy says I'm not supposed to talk to strangers." "That's right," Said the stranger with a serious look. "You shouldn't talk to strangers." She said with a silly smile. "I'm Madaline. Now that I've introduced myself we aren't strangers." Madaline said causually. Azalea lifted up her head curiously. "Really?" Azalea said with a little bit of life in her eyes. "Yup!" Madaline said with a wink along with her tounge sticking out. "O-Ok." Azalea said shyly. As she looked at Madaline she noticed a young boy staring at her intently. He smiled at her warmly. "Who's that?" She said pointing curiously while hiding behind one of her sleeves. "Oh, that's my brother Skylar." Madaline said giving him a big hug. As Madaline embraced him he continued to stare at Azalea. She avoided his gaze. "Why were you crying?" Skylar said before Madaline had the chance to ask. Azalea continued to avoid his gaze. She looked into the far off distance and answered, "Because Mommy's sick." She tried holding back her tears but once again the tears flodded from her. "Don't cry," Skylar said softly. "It's going to be ok." He slowly walked toward her with the intent to make her see him. "Wanna play a game?" Skylar said now sitting next to Azalea inside the slide. Azalea held her hands up toward her face trying to hide herself. "S-sure, If you want." She said shyly. Madaline sat on a bench and watched them fondly. She knew at that moment that Azalea & Skylar would be great friends. As Skylar took Azalea's hand in his they ran towards a small play restraunt in the center of the park. "Wanna play restaurant?" He said while eating an imaginary sandwhich. "Ok." Azalea said before pretending to cook some food. Later that day Madaline and Skylar visited Azalea's mom in the hospital. "If you need anything just call me," Madaline said seriosuly. "I left the info on your mom's phone & on that piece of paper. She said pointing towards the note clipped onto Azalea's school bag. "Ok." "Hey, Azalea what school do you go to?" Madaline asked curiously. As he said those last few words his wings folded outward with great force. Prompt: He'd tell her tomorrow. One more day until his words would change everything.
