Profile

No matter the temperature or situation, Aida consistently dons thick, snug garments, owing to his intense aversion to physical contact. After a while getting to know him, the sight of long trench-coats and jackets underneath the summer sun loses its novelty. And just like his appearance, this young man is constantly guarded, keeping to himself with eyes wary and suspicious. In truth, it is not his intent to appear aloof, but Aida has learnt the alternative isn't worth even another second spent in the clutches of the Second Children.
Considering circumstances, its a wonder at all that Aida has any sense of human decency, but he really does strive to become a better person, albeit not without very apparent roadblocks lining his path. For one, his acute distrust of people. Barring a few exceptions, Aida can barely bring himself to get simple greetings out of his throat, let alone carry out meaningful conversation. Furthermore, anyone who gets to know Aida beyond hollow small talk will have to deal with his distant, awkward nature, and not to mention the sudden, random bouts of erratic behaviour. Despite all this, Aida can still be very thoughtful at times, as his visions allow him to be more emphatic than most.

Aida's visions started not long before the Second Children formed, in fact, he was the catalyst towards its resurgence. Aida is able to see both events that have or have yet to happen, his visions often indistinguishable from reality. Merely a confused child at the time, the Second Children bothered not with restraint, immediately taking him into their captivity under the guise of an education. With both his mother and father amongst their ranks, Aida was gullible enough to play along to their whims, suffering endless indignities and abuse for years until finally running away with Hanna.
