The sun rises

Born and raised as an only child in rural Philippines, Honey was expected by xyr parents to get them out of poverty. Because of this, xe spent xyr childhood trying to surpass xyr peers in hopes of getting a career in a “well-earning” field in the future. However, Honey started to struggle in school as xe buckled under the pressure and realized that xe never wanted the paths that people expected xem to take, both in regards to xyr career and xyr identity.

In xyr teenage years, Honey discovered xyr deep interest in fashion, which garnered xem scorn from xyr relatives. Xyr parents too were hesitant at first, but they soon saw how Honey’s eyes lit up every time xe saw a well-tailored, beautifully designed garment and how xe worked almost day and night to create xyr first clothes. They decided that xe should follow xyr own dreams, and not theirs. After that, Honey’s relationship with xyr parents was molded into something stronger. A relationship that no more relied on passing expectations, but on mutual respect.

The sun shines

Despite Honey choosing to chase xyr own ambitions, xe still wished that xe will be able to give xyr parents the peaceful worry-free life that they wanted and deserved. Xe continued to work even harder than before to make sure that xe will be successful.

Fortunately, Honey gained a scholarship in an American university. For four years, Honey honed xyr craft and learned as much as xe could about fashion.

The sun sets, yet a new day approaches

Honey, deciding to start at a smaller scale after graduating, moved into Mirstone to start xyr own atelier. While surveying the area, xe heard the word going around town about a group of people who travel different worlds to rescue them. This intrigued Honey, but that was not enough to push xem to joining just yet.

It was when xe became a regular customer in Cafe Phantasia and saw the love and camaraderie between the workers as well as their devotion to their cause. It reminded xem of xyr family. It also reminded xem of xemself when it came to xyr passion for clothing.

Honey honestly missed xyr family who were all on the other side of the world, so xe joined. Having a wish granted further sealed the deal, as Honey can finally ensure both xyr and xyr family’s future.
