Personality (detailed): Boom Box is a very energetic bot in general. He always has bright and optimistic energy about him even after a long day. BB is loyal to all of those he considers friends, and he is quick to befriend anyone his friends befriend (a weird sentence I know). He's also extremely cocky about his abilities and acts impulsively. His creations have gotten him in just as many messes as they've gotten him out of. Even so, he's very ill-tempered and childish. Should you do something to greatly piss of this minibot, you will certainly find an explosion in your near future. Don't mistake him for a minicon either. That's another way to end up in the medbay.

Boom Box also doesn't come off as sadistic. His sadistic is more of a buried nature he has and only ever comes out during very particular types of missions. But if Boom Box is acting sadistic, there's no good way to snap him out of it.

Bio/Backstory:

Boom Box was brought into existence in Iacon during the war. He never knew a golden age and only ever had a vague idea of what they were fighting over. He spent his time learning from Autobot scientists about weaponry and mechanics and became a quick study. Despite his physical capabilities as a sonic attacker, he spent most of his time as an Autobot in labs. Blaster was formerly a good friend of his as they often hung out together alongside Jazz whenever BB wasn't working. He was, overall, a loyal Autobot.

Boom Box ended up defecting under strange circumstances. It wasn't as much of a voluntary defection as it was situational. He found out that he had a relative that was a Decepticon named Deadbeat during battle. She had approached him, rather directly, given it was the only chance she was ever going to get since he rarely left the base. She explained how she only wanted to talk to him, and that a battle wasn't a great place to do so. The two of them set up a meeting just outside the ruins of Tarn where patrols wouldn't see them.

Deadbeat proceeded to explain that she had known about him for a long time now, but only just now was able to reach him. They both had the same carrier, but different creators, so they weren't completely related. But Deadbeat had no interest in trying to capture him or hurt him in any way. She was like him in the sense that they were curious about each other and their lives.

The two of them met periodically throughout a few stellar cycles, and Blaster and Jazz were aware of what BB was doing. They didn't fully approve of him going off to meet a Decepticon now and then, but they knew they couldn't stop him.

Boom Box found out after some time that Deadbeat couldn't leave the Decepticon ranks yet due to complications between her and several seekers. But the two of them wanted to be on the same side.

He told Blaster and Jazz about this and the two immediately told him not to even consider joining the Decepticons. They told him that just the fact that she was now trying to get him to join them was bad news. But naturally, he figured they just didn't understand his problem and went completely rogue.

Boom Box took the hit and abandoned the Autobot ranks. He met up with Deadbeat and flat out told her that should Megatron allow it, he would become a Decepticon so they could live together as a family should. That he would back her up wherever she needed him and be a good older sibling (he was older by a few vorns/centuries). Deadbeat was naturally thrilled and eager to bring him back to Kaon so they could be with each other.

Blaster and Jazz were naturally angry when they found out Boom Box was deserting the Autobots and tried to stop him as he gathered his things. But he just insisted that he wasn't fighting for much of anything anyway and slipped past them.

Thus, BB joined the Decepticons and earned the trust of those around him. He met Pointbreak not long after joining the ranks, and the two of them quickly became great friends. He served the Decepticon army until the abandonment of Cybertron where he fled alongside Deadbeat into space.

Long story short, they were on the run from many Autobot authority figures and at one point got separated from each other. Boom Box firmly believes that Deadbeat is still alive out there, and he just has to find her.

After a long search all over the planet for Deadbeat, the quartet of Deadbolt, Nova, Soundblaster, and Thunderbolt showed up on the planet he was stationed at chasing down a bot by the name of Sunder. They hired Boom Box to create several EMP shock bombs for them to use, and he got in on all the action.

Deadbolt hired him permanently as a contributing member to the team they were going to build after killing Sunder. Boom Box reasoned to himself that Deadbeat could be anywhere in the universe by now. So he would continue the search for his sibling from space.

Naturally, Team Sunder was created after the destruction of Sunder and the capture of a docked ship dubbed the Impulse. He was around to watch many new members join the team such as Imperia, the twins, and even his old friend, Pointbreak, who they stumbled upon on Vulcan 19XN. Boom Box never really had a partner though, unlike the rest of his team. He didn't want a partner, claiming to work just fine by himself. But eventually, the time came where the newest member of the team, Icebreaker, needed a partner and Boom Box was the only available one. He obliged with mild annoyance but is now to this day teamed up with Icebreaker.
