Burn - Fields of Glory

Burn is a stocky tortoise-shell novice. His pelt is primarily dark gray with lighter gray parts, and rusted orange patches which accent his fur. His eyes are golden yellow. His expression looks like this when feeling especially puckish → >:]

POSITIVE TRAITS Burn, above all things, is good-hearted. Anything he does, he tries to make sure it's the best decision-- and if he does something bad, it was most likely unintentional. He is also very loyal, he sticks with, in his heart, who he thinks is trustworthy. Again, if Burn fraternises with a bad cat, it's probably not on purpose. Burn is naturally resillient-- it's very hard to discourage him from doing something. If he gets knocked down, he will simply get back up again!

NEUTRAL TRAITS Burn is a child at heart, making him very mischievous at times. However, he never has any malicious intentions! He is just a jokester! Burn is also incredibly chummy, meaning he often assumes all colonymates are his friends and will probably get too comfortable, too fast. However, if he's annoying you or doing something you don't want him to, just tell him to go away! He wont take it to heart :)

NEGATIVE TRAITS

Burn is far too reckless. He is very headstrong, and will often act without thinking clearly. He's also incredibly stubborn, going hand in hand with his resillience. It's hard to change his mind from something. Burn is also aimless, with hardly any thought to what his purpose in the colony is.

Pre-group Daisy and Radish had been together for a long time -- they had known each-other since they were young. They lived in an old, run-down barn together, with Radish’s father Robert and their three sons: Tarn, Moss, and Grem. Tarn, the eldest of the litter (only by a couple minutes), was calm, respectful, and cared deeply for his family. Moss, the forgotten middle child, was incredibly self sufficient, and maybe a little reserved. He felt uncomfortable being in the limelight, which worked out great, because Daisy and Radish always had their paws full with Grem, the unruly youngest. Living at the barn was joyful and peaceful for the family, but the pleasant times soon came to an end after a devastating thunderstorm struck the barn with lightning, causing Grem and his siblings to lose their parents in the fire. Trying to find shelter in such dangerous weather was hard, especially for three young kits all by themselves. Tarn decided the safest place to be for the three kits was to cross the creek -- nothing bad can happen past the water, right? His theory seemed logical after Grem had safely crossed the creek, but it didn’t last long as when Moss tried to cross, he lost his footing and was swept away into the water. Tarn jumped in after him in an attempt to rescue him, but forgot to consider that he was only a kit as well. Burn, cold, wet, and afraid, wandered the golden fields for hours after that, hoping that somebody--anybody, was able to help him. He was soon after found by a ranger from the Glory Colony and was renamed Burn.

Kithood Unfortunately, Burn’s mischievous personality proved to be righteously annoying. Despite only having been in the Glory Colony for a quarter-moon, somehow Burn had already managed to piss off half the colony and upset the other half. When Burn thought he could never go through anything worse, he was proven wrong -- on the very same day. During a terrible storm, Burn had to watch part of his new colony be swept away in the same creek, the same way his brothers did-- his new friends, his healer, his leader-- all gone. He spent the next week of his life in a damp, crowded barn with his colony, all recalling the horrible events. Thankfully, he got to spend his time there getting closer to Sleek, a retired cat of the colony. They remind him a lot of his parents. When the colony resettled into their camp after the storm, Burn became closer with the four new kits he arrived into the camp with: Aster, Beetle, Tawny, and Evening. They all bonded after they went on a bug-hunt together, and decided to dub themselves The Bug Brigade. They even found an injured moth, Jimothy, who they all promised to take care of, who Burn carelessly stepped on. A tragic day for them all.

Noviceship

Burn's noviceship is off to a great start -- he is to be mentored by Monarch Indigo, of all cats! Isn't that exciting?! Although, since the Monarch is preoccupied with her injured son, his training will be overseen by Captain Clay. Still, it's exciting!
