Personality
Hisatoki is a cocky bastard honestly, he has lived for a long long time and knows how powerful he is and isn't afraid to push others buttons knowing there isn't much most beings or people can do about it, but on many cases, he can be even too full of himself, and his ego def shows. He disregards a lot of people as "disposable", which might seem really rude and heartless of him, but being immortal he has chosen to only get attached to truly to those he knows will be around, and of those few, he is fiercely protective, and doesn't care what he needs to do to keep them from harm, immoral or not. He takes a lot of things with a bit too light of a mind, and tries to minimize the importance or responsibility of situations.

A kitsune that joined their group after hearing that if their quest was not successful, the barrier keeping them safe would collapse, and the ppl trying to capture him would get thru.
At first Katinka didn't really like him all that much, thinking he was cocky and often frustrating to deal with, but as the time went by, she relaxed a bit and Hisatoki was actually often able to make the crew laugh and even keep them all warm with his tails when they had to camp outside. Katinka still constantly finds herself rolling her eyes at him, but in the end, she couldn't help but trust him, and she would feel comforted with him around. Eventually, he does become the person Katinka is second closest to in the group after Karelinii.
Friend
Despite Hisatoki being a powerful kitsune, Karelinii was not intimidated by him (whether or not that was a good thing) and more often that not, did not give him the respect he felt he deserved, as much as Hisatoki found this irritating at first, he couldn't help but be amused of her confidence. That being said though, she was always friendly with him in all their interactions and liked to tease him by calling him a "mangy fox", a nickname that actually made him chuckle, and he would take any opportunity to tease her back.

Hisatoki lived in Japan, he lived a nice comfy luxury life disguised as a human nobleman, but one day he got caught changing forms, and the people captured him, with charms they made him unable to put her illusion back on, and sold him forward to foreing sailors, who put him on the ship with intention of making a fortune selling this "beast" over seas. During their pit stop at the Southern island of Paelanya, a rough seas managed to knock his cage and the charm keeping him powerless open, and Hisatoki took his chance to run, being on this island, he found out he didn't have many places to run to at the dock, but he noticed that the island next to this one had some kind of barrier over it, but it looked weak enough for him to use all his strenght to bust thru, which he did. After successfully making his way to the safer side of the barries away from his captors, he found a spot that seemed safe to curl up and recharge his energy at, but after a while of rest, he was found by a group looking for something...
Hisatoki heard a part of the convo the group was having about how the barrier was going to break if they didn't finish this quest, hearing this, Hisatoki pretty much bounced at them demanding to know what they meant with the barrier breaking, when the harpie seeming to be the leader, didn't want to tell him anything, he gave up asking about it, but kept following them, saying that he wants to help keep the barrier up as well, even if he was only thinking about his own safety, none of the group could really do anything about him following them, since he clearly was a powerful being with good enough senses to keep catching up to them, and eventually they just accepted that he was gonna be part of the team, and they all slowly started to open up about their situations, and even if it wasn't what Hisatoki had planned, he soon found himself very attached to these people.
