Yuuya (Tomoe)

Satsuki Tomoe AKA Yuuya Alter AKA Blue-ya

An AU version of Yuuya where he was never adopted by the Hijiri clan and was raised by his birth family, the Satsuki. While Yuuya was given affection freely from the Hijiris, Tomoe only receives validation when he furthers his clan's agenda as its weapon. A perfect blade to ensure the Satsuki's eternal supremacy and to cut away the supernatural taint from Japan.

Compared to Yuuya, Tomoe is much stronger because all he knows is fighting and was never taught to hold back. Weaklings are meant to be consumed by his power and used for a nobler cause. On the other hand, he is intensely lonely, has no concept of boundaries or social skills, and comes across as creepy to people after an extended time in his presence. He's still sensitive and can tell when he's upset somebody, but he lacks the ability to do anything about it. He's got smiley, flirtatious mannerisms similar to Yuuya, but these don't seem genuine and it feels like he learned how to do it from a book on how to make friends. Simply put, he's unpopular.

Despite all these differences with Yuuya, he's still a sensitive boy desperate for love from others, so he tries his best with what he has.  Since all he has is his clan, he fights the hardest he can for them, without ever questioning the morality of his actions.

Yuuya finds Tomoe awful and abhorrent. Tomoe is basically all of Yuuya's fears personified - namely, that he'll use his immense power to hurt innocents, without care for their suffering. The two are diametrically opposed, no matter what.
