Equinox Saunters/ Ebony Heart

 I have this theory that King Sombra wanted to become a more powerful wizard than even Start Swirl the Bearded, but did not know how. He then met a black market dealer who gave him the Alicorn Amulet, claiming how it will give him all the power he needed. This happened, but it also corrupted his mind, causing black crystals to deform his horn and grow on his heart, and he became the evil Kind Sombra that enslaved the Crystal kingdom.

Name: Equinox Saunters

Cutie Mark: Black moon with 3 black stars near nook, all outlined with a dark red
Build: Lanky, tall, lean
Personality/story: Shy, nervous, and clumsy. Yet, still determined to fill the horse shoes of his powerful, ancient ancestor, Star Swirl the Bearded. He desperately wants to impress his family and fulfill the expectations of having the shared blood of the great Star Swirl. However, despite all his effort and practice, he is still a pathetic example of a unicorn with the blood of Star Swirl, and grew to hate himself due to the expectations set by his ancestors and his parents. They bullied him into becoming as powerful a unicorn as themselves and his ancestor. This caused him to want to grow more brave and powerful, so he fled away to the Ever Free Forest, where he came across a black market that harbored the Alicorn Amulet. He finally thought he found his solution to his spell casting sadness, however, as it corrupted the King Sombra with it's dark magic and hate, it soon did the same to Equinox, and the Black Crystal power stole his innocence away, and he became feared by the ponies of his village. With only a sliver of his humanity left, he stole away into the deepest depths of the Ever Free Forest, where he now hides in the dark shadows, upon his throne of Dark Crystals. 

Post-Corruption:

Name: Ebony Heart (given by the superstitious village ponies, due to his black heart and black chaos he creates with his darkness and shadows) 
Age: 28 Human Years
Sex: Stallion
Species: Unicorn
Cutie mark: simplified bust of Alicorn Amulet
Build: Broad, tall, lean
Personality: Due to the corruption by the Alicorn Amulet, he is no longer the clumsy, scared, innocent stallion he was. Instead, he is now aggressive, power-hungry, sarcastic and lacking any form of sympathy. The darkness of the Alicorn Amulet darkened portions of his coat, (streaks under eyes represents the tears he shed knowing what he has become, the mark on his chest resembling where he once wore the amulet, and it's darkness taking over his heart, and the blotchiness on his back and flank took over his previous cutie mark) as well as turning his previous magic colour (green) into a blood crimson. The purple aura that fades from his eyes is only present when using magic or when he is very, very angered. 

Use of Black Crystal wings:

Build: Broad, tall, bulky
Description of power: Because the amulet gave him the power to control Dark Crystals, he uses them in almost all his spells. One of the main ones is his ability to craft wings for himself made from the crystals. These can stay up and float with a magnetic sort of power that the crystals have towards each other, (caused by darkness) and he can use them to fly, but he has to use a special spell to give them that ability.

Use of Alicorn Spell:

Description of power: This is a more powerful add-on spell to the previously mentioned, Black Crystal wings spell. This gives the illusion that they are actual Pegasus wings, with rough feathers, stained with the darkness. This is purely to give off the feel he is a true Alicorn of royalty, but he cannot fly with these wings at all.
