Vampyrum
stoic . empathetic . misunderstood
Vampyrum is, in a word, super edgy. He wants to be perceived as a threatening figure that would kill just to prove a point. He's dark, quiet and generally mean-looking. This comes from a place of self-consciousness, under the impression that showing any sort of vulnerability would be a sign of weakness. However, he's a huge softie with a strong moral code, often swooping in to help those in need while attempting to maintain his dark indifference. He especially loves children and small animals, they're about the only things able to make him smile. Privately, he's rather affectionate with his ghosts and enjoys cuddling with them. His ghosts are his closest allies and the only ones that have seen him cry.
He enjoys a little chaos and discord, hence his mismatched earrings, horns and claws.

Trivia
- Vampyrum is named after a genus of false vampire bats.
- Rarely talks, but is a great listener.
- Loves to accessorize.
- Fur insulates warmth from outside sources, but Vampyrum himself has no body heat.
Design Notes
- He is a species called a Spirighast. They're cat-like, so you can draw him with anatomy similar to that of a domestic cat.
- Has two nubby little horns.
- His left eye always glows. They usually flare up when he's threatened (which the right one still does), but the left one is stuck in the threatened state.
- The colored back half of his body is a solid goo-like substance.
- Bat wings. Left claw is pink, right claw is cyan. Very long thumbs. Very long second finger, short third finger, regular fourth finger.
- Transparent pink-and-cyan dotting on muzzle.
