Marigold and King

I made these characters for a school assignment; and unsurprisingly, I got attached to them.

King is the cloaked humanoid with the wide-brim hat and the yellow scarf. Marigold is the masked desert creature that King rides. It's not clearly stated what King is looking for, but they frequently are seen scavenging dilapidated old buildings for materials and supplies. Sometimes they're known to disappear for days on end with their shovel.

King is bonded for life with Marigold and will go out of their way to make sure no harm comes to her, since she's really all he has left.

Occasionally, King can be heard late at night tinkering with a HAM radio he salvaged from somewhere

The sandstorms get pretty intense where Marigold and King live, hence the masks and cloaks.

King has an intense love for nature and will protect any they can find at any cost. (They have an underground garden that they tend to)
