Profile

A “superhuman” GT86 meant to surpass the limits of the long-gone but super-popular AE86, as well as upholding its status and legacy, Niko's the one with those responsibilites even if he thinks it's... too underwhelming? Whatever they mean by that, they race under the Toyota Gazoo Racing group and is considered the team's own “super striker" of sorts, with their precise handling making them stand out with their style of driving.

As much as they enjoy the whole racing experience down to him having the unbundled energy and enthusiasm for it, he doesn't take the professional side of it too seriously. With the way he gets easily distracted and ending up focusing on the wrong thing entirely whilst not being behind the wheel, it leads to his crew members on the track getting aggrivated for “not paying any attention”. But when he's out of the track for whatever reason, if he's not off doing his own thing, he tends to stick close to Sinclaire Nakamura, a friendly “rival” who sees them more as a close friend.

Outside of professional racing, he actually enjoys it more! Alongside with his performance in drifting events, Niko tends to get a little overboard with the way he races around sometimes, leading to some people avoiding going against him in unofficial races. And he also tends to get himself glued into video games in his off-time when he's not doing anything else. Whilst their GT-R buddy prefers anything close to the real racing experience, they prefer stuff more on the side of unrealistic racing. Either that, or the one game they keep going onto them that's about high-contrast cephalopods sometimes.

Niko also tends to spectate any events that involve the AE86 that he personally looks up to, but... it seems that an Impreza sticks close to them sometimes? Not that he minds it, as ”more's the merrier“ when it comes to watching people sliding cars around a public road. He also sometimes wonders why the “86-239” license plate number is under his left eye, but the conclusion he always ends up at is that he's “honoring” the AE86 in other ways, even if he never remembers how it got there? Odd.

Perhaps it's got to do with Sinclaire's reoccouring nightmares they get from time to time.
