BIOGRAPHY

PAST

Bonemann always felt as though he was the odd one out. While the other seeker kids were learning from the living, enjoying the songs of the winds, Bonemann preferred the darkness of the grounds he would hide in. The quietness of the forest and the rotting leaves that would crunch under his every step. If he could, he'd live with the quietness of the dead.

His family, however, wanted him to be someone else. They'd thought of him to be broken, with his unnatural intrests and did their most to have him be "normal". To be a seeker that a guide would be interested in, so to live up to the family name and continue on their long legacy of treasure and wealth. It was hell for Bonemann. Every word he would hear was how broken and unlovable he was, and how they're the only reason he was able to be alive, further gaslighting him to control him over to be the seeker they yearn so dearly.

In his childhood, he found his comfort in the myths of the terrifying lady rot. Said to be bringer of doom, he thought otherwise, she was the peace at the end. The life that came after the dead, beautiful, calming and serene. So he devoted himself to her, a clutch of hope perhaps? Yet he spoke of it to no one until his older days.

Once he reached of age, he persuaded his family to let him be a docotr. "To continue on the name," he would say. However, he never did. He never obtained his doctorate or PhD. They deemed him too untamed with his interest in the dead. But it matters not, for Bonemann has achieved the knowledge he sought after. He faked his own "death" and since then altered his identity and forgotten by the world, happily living in his hidden cove, creating his abomination in lady rot's name.

PRESENT

Moving in the darkness, Bonemann would often leave the guide and seek archipelago to other parts of the world. After all, the best kind of rot are located beyond the comfort of his home. He'd dissappear for days on end and return home with bags of carcass and rotten flesh, missing body parts and organs. He moves quickly and efficiently to raise no suspicion.

Home, he returns to his creations, "guides". Though he calls them guides, they are not, no. They're undead beings with body parts he has found outside of the island, filled in with the most foul rot, dedicated for the lady rot herself. His necromancy however, requires constant upcare and thus he is always in search for more carcasses to fill in his "guide" children.

At first, he thought nothing of his creations other than experimented bodies in the name of lady rot. Yet in these undead, he found compassion and care, something he had never experienced genuinely from others to himself.The first time he had heard the "guide" kids called him dad was a moment that broke him. He's been fond of the kids since then and might be just a tad bit over protective over them.

Though he never shows his true feelings or say what he truly means, he cares for his kids. He's able to be more free and in rare moments, he'd show off his gentle smiles to their growth. He's gone out more often though, often in the places where he knows there's not much people, as to not be questioned of his odd "guide" kids.
