Mirage

Mirage disguises herself as sweet and passive. She doesn't speak much to strangers and maintains a strictly professional relationship to watchers and her coworkers. Even to dragons she knows, Mirage is not long for words and is very focused on her work. She dreads small talk and avoids making attachments to others. 

Mirage is one of many of Viper's children. She was barely raised - provided the bare minimum and expected to keep up. She spent years chasing after her mother, yearning for more, anything that the mottled Sandwing could give, but Mirage received little to no affection or care and a great deal of scolding for her annoyances. Mirage finally left when she was 15. Viper was preparing to leave the Scorpion Den, but Mirage had found work as a street performer and refused to leave. Viper was gone the next morning and Mirage hasn't seen her since.

Mirage remained in the Scorpion Den as the newest member of a street performing group, a small group of singers, musicians, dancers, and thieves working in the Scorpion Den. In it, Mirage finds stability, some sense of community or belonging, and most importantly - money. Mirage focuses on supporting herself and her needs only. One day, Mirage hopes to squirrel away enough money to travel, but lacks the funds and is a bit too afraid of the big wide world for that adventure yet. 

Because of Viper, Mirage had to teach herself everything. However, she still struggles to fly, and avoids using her wings for anything except her dances. 

Mirage has ivory-white scales and red eyes. Her sail, fins, and the underside of her wings are pastel/opalescent and always shifting. She lacks a stinger but has small, venomous fangs, and her tongue/flesh is white. Not albino, just very very pale. Mirage wears lots of glittering, translucent silks, and has many colors depending on the theme of the troupe - gold, purple, silver, white, midnight, etc.
