Jackrabbit

Jackrabbit is a fixer, a traveler who solves problems in different communities and takes various odd jobs. He’s developed somewhat of a modest reputation over the years, most notably because, unlike many fixers, Jackrabbit has a peculiar specialty: removing curses. Whether the curses are attached to people, animals, or objects, Jackrabbit has a special interest in finding and dealing with them.

His history is a mystery to most of the people around him, and this is by design. He’s an intensely solitary person, and he originally allowed Elle to travel with him mostly reluctantly because he could see that she wasn’t going to back down. (And, besides, a part of him sees himself in her--he, too, was once foolhardy and eager to see a world that was alien to him.) Now, however, Elle is perhaps his dearest friend in the world, and one of the only people he enjoys spending time with on a regular basis.

Though he’s very independent and distant, Jackrabbit is polite to a fault. He speaks with a strange, almost ethereal air about him at times, with a distinct southern accent. Beneath his politeness, however, Jackrabbit is a deeply bitter man. He’s devoted himself to his mission of curse hunting with a dogged, almost suicidal determination, as though nothing else matters to him. And, in a way, perhaps that is true. Because Jackrabbit knows that his time on this world may very well be limited, and he intends to make the most of however much he may have left.
