Sage

Sage was found by Ajax as a viscling, abandoned in a remote location in the shelter of a small grove of trees just off a well-traveled trade route. It was only by chance that Ajax happened to come across him, as Ajax didn't travel often, and if he did, it was over short distances. Ajax being out in public at all is a rare sight in itself— When Rosha took power over Ajax's home kingdom, he abandoned it to escape the new ruler, taking everyone who would come with him to a large underground cave where he and the others have been hiding out ever since. They've been there long enough to establish an entirely new culture and community, with Ajax as their king. It's only of recent years, after hearing about Rosha's seemingly good change of heart, that they've begun to venture out, but even then, it's only for absolute necessity. Finding Sage was a complete accident, a coincidence that almost definitely saved his life as the harsh climate of Skydron would have likely killed him within a few days, even with a bit of shelter from a few trees.

Periboea takes over as Sage's guardian most of the time because of how busy his father is with running everything and trying to acclimate to the strange world outside of the one he's been sequestered into for so long. As Sage grew, it became obvious that he was not going to get much bigger. However long he had been outside and alone had been long enough to cause permanent damage and stunt his growth for good. He also has kept the general mindset of a child, seemingly not being able to mature past the age of around ten or eleven. He's a very sweet, kind, and innocent person who takes notice of little things that most others often overlook, including behaviors or changes in mood. He's very empathetic and has an uncanny ability to be able to tell what's going on in someone's life without them even hinting at it. Some people find it a little weird or maybe even a bit creepy, but his intentions are completely innocent. Eventually he starts developing the ability to foretell the future and speak prophecies, but that doesn't come until much later
