All through SR2 until his death, she was in a romantic relationship with Carlos. Several months after the death of Carlos and Aisha, Johnny and Boss have a one-night stand to try and "forget shit".  It turned into a regular occurrence, often involve booze and never "feelings". However, when Boss becomes pregnant during one of these times, she tries to hide it until after Dane Vogel is dealt with. Even then, she tried to lie about who the father is. But when Johnny points out that she's only slept with three men; one happened two years ago and Carlos is dead. After finally confessing, Johnny and Boss decide to give in to their feelings for each other and raise their new son, Tristen(As well as run the gang). Boss once again finds herself pregnant prior to the events of SR3 but before she can tell Johnny, he's "killed". Later on, she admits to Kon(her other best friend) that she would have tried to get herself killed if not for her son and pregnancy, the death of Johnny too hard. But with her kids in mind, she keeps going, at least getting revenge for her lover, top lieutenant, best friend, and right hand.
