she's average height and has an athletic build the outer corners of the eyes are slightly downward turned, a narrow nose. she's got fairly defined lips though (so a very visible cupids bow) and of course the scar on her cheek blue eyes that are a bit more on the dark side and her hair is this light brown, maybe going a tiny bit into strawberry blonde

For several generations now, no descendant of House Daphnel has been born with a Crest. It comes as no surprise that neither Mathilda nor any of her five siblings are in possession of a Crest, either, much to her father's dismay. While House Daphnel has managed to maintain its noble status, Mathilda's father hails from a family of lesser nobles and had been hoping to end the streak of crestless heirs. But after his five sons and one daughter had all been determined to be crestless, he instead decided to focus on the next generation by securing future matches for his children. His biggest pride in that regard is the fact that Mathilda is promised to the Fraldarius heir, Felix Fraldarius. It did cost him a fair amount of land and troupes but considering that his daughter will marry into one of the most prominent families of the Kingdom and the Fortier territory is located right alongside the border, he deemed this sacrifice worth it.

Though her future has been pretty much set in stone because of this engagement, Mathilda's mother still found it important that her daughter have a proper education, as is the custom for all descendants of House Daphnel. She wants her daughter to support her future husband in his endeavours, but she also wants her to be able to fend for herself should the need arise.

During her childhood, Mathilda spent a lot of time with her mother's sister, Judith, who taught her how to swordfight and the basics of battle tactis, as her mother figured that she would be the best person to educate Mathilda in these aspects.
