Family: Biological parents unknown, was adopted and raised by a middle-aged Japanese couple

Abilities: Fire breathing, can change into 3 different forms at will (true, small and human), flight (wings), bilingual (english and japanese)

Personality: Kaji is rather asocial and, most of the time, would rather be left on his own than be with others. Not to say he's completely unfriendly however. Despite seeming aloof, he's capable of working with others if absolutely necessary, and does respect and trust (for the most part) Dante, another, older lunar dragon who had taken Kaji under his wing (so to speak) and trained. He eventually sees the black dragon as a sort of mentor/big brother, and tends to only listen to him and refuse to cooperate with anyone else, though not always guaranteed. Still, he struggles to trust others in general.

Appearance (detail):

Human Form: In this form, Kaji has short red hair with two short orange bangs in front, with amber eyes, and slightly tanned skin tone. In the corners of each eye are thin red curved markings.

Story (WIP): 

Childhood: Kaji has no idea who his parents are. He remembers being alone for a while in the wild, not knowing what he was, and without a name, surviving off of various plants and eventually learning to hunt from watching other animals. The first time he blew fire, it startled him, but he soon found it quite helpful and became more and more adept the more he used it and practiced. One day in his exploring he found a small town. Curious, he snuck in, drawn by the smell of food and noise. For a while he was successful in stealing food from various places, eventually he got discovered by a middle aged Japanese couple. They'd been aware of him coming around and had been setting out food in hopes of gaining his trust. It took another week, but eventually they coaxed him into their home and more or less adopted him. Over the course of the next 11 or so years the couple raised him, taught him about the land he lived in, Japan, the language (as well as english), and gave him his name, Kaji, which means 'fire' in their native language. Most importantly though, they taught him what he was from what little they knew about lunar dragons from legends. 

They are a rare, possibly dying/endangered species that were originally not from earth, but from what they now called the moon, which at one time was a thriving planet called Lunar. It's dragons were the planet's guardians, and only one of each of their four elements (red/fire, blue/water, white/wind or ice & black/earth) were present at a time. When a planet wide scourge was slowly destroying Lunar, and was unable to be stopped even by it's goddess, she sacrificed herself, using the last of her divine power to transfer the remaining population of the planet to Earth to save them, the dragons included. Not wanting them to grieve over their great loss of their home, in the process she also erased their memories of Lunar so they could live new lives on earth. This would also allow the dragons to populate normally, instead of only one of each element being around at one time.

Or so it was believed. Apparently for some, they retained their memories, passing on the stories and legends through the generations. But since there was no real proof of any of it, it remained legend. Even so, the information helped Kaji to learn about his heritage, giving him his identify back in a way.

Trivia/Facts:

- Is bilingual, knowing both Japanese and English

- Has weakness for chocolate covered strawberries. Also loves pretty much any kind of meat and fish 

- Cannot be damaged by any kind of heat/fire, natural or magic (immune). In some instances and situations, even heal him.

- Enjoys basking and napping in the sun, anywhere it's hot

- Tends to take showers that would be scalding to normal people

- Being of the fire element, he has a higher body temperature than the other LD types (black/earth, white/ice/wind, blue/water), as well as humans and some other creatures

-If/once his full respect, trust, and friendship is gained, while he won't ever be the most social, he will be incredibly loyal and protective
