Casimir

Casimir was born to two hard working parents in a small mining town in Staesea. The people of this town knew nothing but work, as that was the only way to survive in such a devistanting economy. Scarcity, isolation, and poverity were the truths the population, along with his family, had to live by. This was reality, until Casimir was finally shown his true potential. He was provided guidence by his god, not through direct commands or simple spoken words but by visions, prophecies and feelings.

Through these visions, he alone was able to create a paradise within his home-town. With the citizens desprate for help, they followed along and eventually believed he truly was the chosen one to a god that would rid this cruel world of all evil. He cared for the followers of The Black Shrine immensely yet thought the prosperity of the world was far more important. His god showed him what had to be done, sacrifices in the name of good. Sacrifices would join their god in the great battle. Through his dreams he would chose who would be sacrificed, this happened once a year. He would lead the ritual himself and in tow, deepen the knife that would allow each sacrifice to move to the next phase.

As the leader of these devoted followers he spoke to similar cults, recruited more people, and lead the search for resources. There was no evil intent in what he had done. He believed he was helping his people, the world in fact. But that would chnage, and he would regret everything.

On a day like any other a group of the town children had wondered too far off into the nearby woods that surrounded their town. Leading the search party, he followed deep into the woods and discovered some strange ruins. Upon insvestigating, hidden tablets adorned the walls of the lowest room that described how his god had not only once before nearly ended the world but how he was planning finish the job. Casimir was horified, his entire reality shattered before him and all he could do was run. As far as he could he abandonded his people, changed his name and took to a life at sea to better stay hidden. This was not without punishment though, by disobeying his god he awoke to the searing pain of his left eye now gone and his face left mauled. He now takes odd jobs at sea, managaing to become a satisfactory navigator. If hes not on a job hes drifting at sea on his small boat, figuring out a plan on how to stop his god from ending the world.
