Character Concept: Herrick started as an extremely unimportant NPC character - one of many generic "oddball" teachers located at the Dream!Verse London highschool (worlds get severely mashed in a dream - just roll with it) that Aaron, Miles, and Scarlet attended. Inspired by a mix of extreme conspiracy theorists, science tecahers of years past, and (very, very small bits of) an adventurer, sort of Indiana Jones-ish oddly?? IDK. But the longer we were at the setting, the more Mr. Grahowery stuck out from his fellow faculty - he eventually leveled up to significant minor character, with other universe counterparts being developed more out of curiosity and enjoyment of the character. He...really surprised me.

Original incarnation. Herrick is known as the eccentric 'Obscured Applied Science' teacher at the middle/high school of the town. He's vowed to uncover the deep dark secrets of the school, as well as any other mysteries that may harm innocent people. He also does his best to teach the following generations of students his findings, but due to his deteriorating mental state, most think he's just crazy.

Two sides of a split-in-half coin. One night when he was a child, the one 'Herrick Grahowrey' split into two separate people for 'mysterious reasons.' Becoming one Herrick and one Harland, they slowly grew up into their own separate lives with separate interests. Herrick into the out-of-control, mystery craving brute, and Harland into the warm, simple man looking for a family and trying his best to run away from his mysterious past. Unfortunately, it's not so keen on letting either of them forget it.

While he chased conspiracy theories for years to fill the void, suddenly super powers started emerging in citizens throughout the city! Not including him, though. While at first he's a tad bitter at the thought of being left out of the phenomenon, the curse becomes a blessing as suddenly the government starts hunting down those who're affected by the outbreak.
