silly little ramble while i work on their even sillier profile oh i love them so much
Breath is the second sibling of the Gods of Creation, a being of warmth and life that was granted to the soil to bring life to the bodies created by their brother Voice! Armed with their two spires of light, Breath stitches invisible strings of life into the bodies of the world - pushing wind into their lungs and warmth into their hearts and minds! Breath brings life to the bodies of flesh and blood, filling them with this mysterious ability to make use of the sinew and organs Voice has given them!
They're the most serious of the siblings, hardened and worn down by centuries of life doing the same job over and over again and view their duty as nothing more than a birthright to fulfill rather than a divine act of creation that's as beautiful as it is necessary! Breath has long been going through the motions of their duty, weaving invisible stitches into the bodies of beings both mortal and not, and then using their head of flame and warmth to push that light into their veins and hearts! They speak in a very monotone voice and are rather blunt and to the point, leaving no room for negotiation. Despite being the second sibling they always act as the one in charge, commanding the world with a sort of cold, distant civility reserved only for those who life often refuses to touch out of fear of what awaits it
Fun facts!
-Their spires of light burn with a kaleidoscope of colors and flames when Breath is enraged, and can be used to unstitch the stitches of life they've given to every living being! But they have to get close to be able to do it, luckily their body can burn so bright and hot that they can melt the very world around them, which usually discourages anything from trying to stop them!
-Although they don't have a visible mouth they have no trouble speaking! Their flames will dance and entangle themselves if they raise their voice, and it booms out of them and can vibrate their body if it gets too loud!
-They usually only wear their cloak for modesty when they're doing their duty, but they have no trouble taking it off whenever they please. They find it useless and only for the comfort of others, and don't like how the fabric moves around them. They think it's strange and only there to comfort others
-Although their job is to quite literally bring life, they have no qualms about taking that gift away. Breath views life as a temporary gift that will always be returned, no matter what, and doesn't hesitate to take that gift early from beings who "misbehave" or go against the rules of life. They have no moral doubts about what they do, and are the quickest and most decisive to act
