About Me (Roleplay Preferences)

Location doesn't matter too much to me. However, I'm more likely to forget to check some places than others.

• Discord is usually your best bet.

I don't generally mind very much about who or how many as long as everyone is having fun! It gets harder to focus and keep track of everything as the crowd gets larger, though, and that can mean more work than fun. It's a delicate balance!

• Turn-based/Established post order is usually preferred to keep everybody organized when posts are lengthier or more serious! My little brain can't handle too much chaos.
• Occasional deviation from order is fine as long as it's not malicious. Don't intentionally leave people out :(
• Rapid-fire posts out of order in less serious interactions are fine.
• tbh it depends on the situation/context a lot of the time.

If there's more than one extended rp going on at a time between us, I'd prefer they take place in different locations (ie one on Discord and one on forum, or in two different threads in Discord) as well as involve a different set of characters with no overlapping cast.

• I prefer to finish one rp with a character before that character becomes involved in another rp, for continuity's sake.
• I will generally top out at 1-2 due to an inability to devote enough mental resources to much more than that.
• I also find that a scene is more likely to be played to completion if it is not lost in a sea of situations.

Skill level and subject matter are big factors. In general I prefer roleplay partners similar in age to myself, but if it's something short and lighthearted/slice of life I might consider playing with a younger crew for a little while and pointing them in a more appropriate direction.

• Certain (hopefully obvious) topics are going to be restricted to 18+ players.
• I draw a hard line for ALL interaction at 13. If you can't pass COPPA requirements, we can't play.
• If you lie to me about your age, I will end all interactions with you. Don't be stupid, stupid.
• I have very few set-in-stone rules and boundaries, and this is one of them. Please respect it.

My "default" can vary wildly depending on situation and partner. My standard is usually 1-2 paragraphs, but depending on what's going on it may be as short as a few words or as long as several paragraphs.

• Whatever we start with isn't necessarily the way the entire scene will go. Sentences may become paragraphs and vice versa depending on the amount of depth I feel necessary to convey. Sometimes things start lighthearted and get serious, or vice versa
• I will generally try to match energy as long as I have enough energy of my own to do so

As long as our energy levels roughly match, I'm happy.

Depends on the situation and energy level. More serious or momentous/important scenes will likely receive more attention and longer writings. Two characters who know each other well and are just farting around may only need a few words to get the point across.

I grew up in an immediate feedback roleplaying environment (Furcadia), and on a good day can bust out a couple of paragraphs in about 10 minutes as long as I'm not doing anything else. I'm older and slower now, though, and I often have a lot going on in life which may limit my ability to keep up with that style after a couple of hours.

• I tend to reply or give an update on my situation within 48 hours. If you're waiting longer than that, something may be up. I don't ghost.

I'm accoustomed to a rapid pace roleplay style, but that does not mean I require it. I'm not offended by long response times as long as I'm kept in the loop. If life gets busy for you just let me know it'll be a while.

• If you haven't replied in a while, I may assume you're done and have discontinued the roleplay wherever it stands, but if you feel the scene hasn't reached a resolution don't be afraid to jump back in or request a summary!

My characters' growth and relationships hinge on the interactions they have with others, and unresolved situations make it more difficult for me to navigate my characters and their relationships.

I almost always prefer organic development of relationships over pre-planning and trying to force things to fit, whether that be for romantic or platonic.

I'm always down to chat and hang out! That said, I am not your therapist. I will happily let you vent sometimes, but I am not your dumping ground.

• I often write very formally and can get a little verbose. Sometimes this reads as a firm or annoyed tone, but I rarely intend it that way. It's just how I write.

I love seeing art of my characters! I especially love seeing your mental image of a scene that has occurred. Feel free to doodle and share; I'll likely do the same on occasion.
