A reminder of that short, but infinitely long period of time where Sigyn was in Avel's court. Avel took him from her as soon as he could, cast her out into the streets, and raised Varhun to be a war general in his stead. Sigyn is terrified of him because he looks so much like Avel, and she will never be able to forget what the king has done.
