About
O' Great Captain Silas! Notoriously known for his mastery with blades and bullets, Silas is one of the most feared pirates in both land and sea. Wherever he goes, chaos follows, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. Thievery comes as easy as letting his crew loose - with disguises, of course - and staying at the ship for an hour or two until there's bags stuffed with goods piled into their storage. Pillaging is an adrenaline rush and an ordinary Tuesday morning all in one. Silas is the head of the world's most infamously known pirate crew, and... he's a dad?
Yes! Captain Silas, "Reynard of the Seas," as he's been dubbed, is a father of one. He has a seven-year-old bundle of joy named Theseus, after the Greek tale. Silas' crew members think it's hilarious (and also a bit endearing) to watch as the captain balances two very different lives: a feared pirate and a loved dad.
Summary
Silas has been a pirate for as long as he can remember. Sure, he hasn't been on the frontlines, participating in the best parts of being a pirate, but his parents both were and he was raised into the lifestyle. He's surely preceded their legacy, becoming known as the eighteen year old that stole from the richest king on land and got away with it. Silas' life only got more interesting from there. His reputation only grew and grew beyond that point, going from the kid who dared, to Captain Silas, notorious for leveling towns and killing men all for what he thought was best for his son. His life for the past few years have been filled with adrenaline-inducing chases all while caring for and fiercely protecting his son, Theseus. He doesn't think he'd change it for the world, not when his world is aboard his ship.
OOH, SHINY...
One day, Silas kneeled before his son and asked him what he wanted for his birthday, letting it be known the request could be as grand as little Theo wanted. The boy asked for a necklace, a pretty one that shone in the light just like the one the Captain's First Mate had. And any wish of Theo's was nothing less than a quest to his dad, his eyes only being on whatever it was his son wanted. So he resolved to steal a new jewel, one that glowed, literally glowed in the sun, one large enough that it would barely fit in his one hand. Silas was sure his son would love it once he chipped off a piece and turned it into a necklace, it was so shiny that he almost felt entranced just by looking at it. Once the diamond was in his grasp, not only did he manage to piss off practically the entire world along with the strongest people in it, Silas discovered this diamond was more than just valuable. It was the core piece to be used to power an old, forgotten village, buried deep in a cave. And, well, his curiousity always got the best of him.

Trivia
- His eyes instinctively dilate when he's around/thinking of his son.
- Never actually lost his eye, the captain only wears an eyepatch because he thinks it looks badass.
- Silas learned to play the mandolin when he was young and still plays it today. The one he owns is pristine and polished wood, as if it was bought - or stolen, more accurately - yesterday. In reality, he's had the thing for years. It was a gift from his parents for his thirteenth birthday. Today it can be seen being played as the crew parties, cheerful music filling the otherwise empty sea as they all dance around.
- Named his son after the Greek tale, Theseus and the Minotaur. Silas loves to read, especially when it comes down to myths and adventurous tales. The book he read it from is battered and damaged, leaving out everything in the tale right after Theseus slays the Minotaur. He loves to read Theo to sleep.

He had the boy when he was far too young, only eighteen years old with a guy who now, funnily enough, raises a sword to Silas every time their paths cross. Theo's seven now, and Silas would do anything to protect his boy. Any one who dares to even elude to the idea of him getting hurt is a dead man, and by his father's sword. He knew raising a kid would be difficult, especially on the seas as a pirate, but being able to watch as Theo grows along with his love for the ocean really does make it all worth it.
